At Mazel he flourished. When we started Mazel I had no intention of keeping him past Pre-K, but now I cannot imagine him going to school anywhere else but Mazel. It's very warm environment that focuses on the whole child--his education (which is one of the top), social and emotional abilities.

My son is there now and I love it. Education wise its very strong. In prek level they srarted doing skip counting which i know they did in BSI K. At the end of prek most/many read and at K kids read in 3 languages. Mostly, however, i love how they focus on each child to make sure he develops fully in all areas (i.e. respect, social).
Religious wise, i never felt pressure. They learn hebrew and say prayers through songs. They do parshas in preK, but besides learning torah its very good for reading comprehension. There are some othrodox children who usually leave at K, but most kids I felt in one of the two categories (keep some aspect of kosher (i.e. no pork) and maybe have friday night diner) or keep full kosher, shabat, but they still wear pants etc. Being on a less observant scale I never felt any pressure.

Several of my friends kids go there and love it. I saw their program and it was great. My kids don't go there because the hours don't work for me. I think they start at 9 and end early every Friday. They serve kosher so if ur kid is allergic to dairy on milk days u may have a hard time. Also one of the best parts is that they have day trips and monthly gathering for parents for free. Great for networking and becoming part of the school.
Some of my friends take their kids to Mazel and love it. It is not too religious. My friends are not religious at all and it is not forced upon them. I took my daughter to their sunday program and she loved it. If you are thinking about it...there is a wait list to get in.
here is some info from their fb page-- FAQ #1: What is the difference between a Jewish Day School and a Yeshiva?
As a Day School, Mazel is different than most Yeshivas in that both boys and girls attend classes together. In addition, as a Day School, it is open for all Jewish children regardless of their level of religious observance. You will not be asked what you observe at home, nor will your child be told that they “have to” bec...ome more religious. Every family is respected for their own level of involvement in Jewish life. No one is made to feel uncomfortable and everyone is free to choose their own path. Children learn that Jewish identity is important for all Jews but “different families observe in different ways”. Another major difference between our day school and other Yeshivas is that the general studies program takes up 60-70% of the day (compared to 50% in other schools).

I love Mazel. My son is in prenursery class and we couldn’t be happier with our choice of a day care. The teachers are amazing. They are so devoted and truly care about my child’s development and growth.  I also love the fact that they encourage parents to get involved.  Highly recommend it!!

I transferred my child from a different day care, in which he couldn't adjust for over a year, to Mazel. At Mazel he flourished. When we started Mazel I had no intention of keeping him past Pre-K, but now I cannot imagine him going to school anywhere else but Mazel. It's very warm environment that focuses on the whole child--his education (which is one of the top), social and emotional abilities. I don't know another school where the director not only knows the names of all children, but also their strengths and challenges.

My son has been attending Mazel for the last two years and he has learned so much since he started his education there.  He receives love and support from the teachers and the administration is warm and approachable.  I feel confident every day when I send my son to school that he is learning how to be a positive, contributing member of our community as well as gaining knowledge.  We love Mazel!

This school is a home away from home for my son (Kindergarden) who is in his 3rd year at Mazel.  We love the personalized attention and the great teachers.  The Mazel Parent Association is also  great at planning events for families to get to know each other.
