Review of Cinderella at Puppetworks Theater in Park Slope Brooklyn

Cinderella puppet theater at Puppetworks in Park Slope

Wondering what to do this week with children? How about Cinderella puppet presentation at Puppetworks?
There are very few puppet theaters in NYC, but luckily for us, one of them is very close to home. Puppetworks in Brooklyn's Park Slope is one of our family’s favorite weekend stops once every few weeks. This cozy little theater bring wonderful puppet presentations and unique  interpretations of popular children’s stories to young audiences. Their latest one is children’s favorite tale, Cinderella. We attended the Cinderella show this week and absolutely loved it!
Though the presentation was not the Disney version kids are used to, it was an enchanting story that made my children and pretty much the whole young audience very happy and amused.  The puppets were gorgeous, backdrops/set were stunning, and the talent and spunk of the puppeteers was obvious. My fun moment: the part when the prince took long to kiss the princess and that made all the little kids laugh!  It is definitely a must see and gets two thumbs up from us! The inexpensive price (compared to other productions running in NYC) is also a big plus!
This Cinderella is a winner for kids and adults alike. The production runs through April 13 on weekends only but this President’s week, it runs every day, 2/1 – 2/21 @12:30pm and 2:30PM.
Note that Wed, Feb 19 @12:30 is Sold Out, though 2:30pm is available.
The show is about 50 mins without intermission. Tickets price: Children $8 / Adults $9. Call to reserve a spot 718-965-3391.
