Do you know this man burglarizing Midwood and Sheepshead Bay Brooklyn?

BROOKLYN, NY  -- Police are hoping surveillance photos / videos will lead to an arrest of a man that's been burglarizing Midwood and Sheepshead Bay. There have been eight reported break-ins over the past two weeks just in the Midwood section of Brooklyn and a few more in Sheepshead Bay area. Residents of these neighborhoods and police are on high alert, with the most recent incident happening on Friday.

The man pictured in the surveillance video tries to enter the house both during daylight hours and in the middle of the night while residents are sleeping. One family heard a strange noise and found a man trying to break into their Midwood home through their window.

Police say he uses the same tactic - entering homes through a window or side sliding door. Once inside, he swips phones, ipads and other electronics, as well as cash and runs away. On some days, he targeting homes right next to each other in one day.

Police have him on video and hope that someone from the public will provide tips that will lead to his arrest. Anyone with information in regards to these incidents is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
